MRI Design Review System – A Mixed Reality Interactive Design Review System for Architecture, Serious Games and Engineering using Unity3D, a Tablet Computer and Natural Interfaces . Demo on ISMAR 2014 „Symposium on Mixed and Augmented Reality“ in Munich | Sept. 11th.
Hundreds of computer vision nerds met in Munich to discuss AR and mixed reality stuff last week. edddison was part. As Demo Track we showed a digital model and workflow from CAD to an interactive presentation, done with Cinema4D, Unity3D and edddison. The 3D-model is one of Mies van der Rohe never realized projects called „Hofhaus“. The whole project was realized in a cooperation between Andreas Behmel and Wolfgang Höhl, FH JOANNEUM | University of Applied Sciences, A-8020 Graz and edddison Technologies.
Andreas Behmel (http://at.linkedin.com/pub/andreas-behmel/26/364/335) works in the Research & Design Lab (http://researchanddesign.fh-joanneum.at) at the FH JOANNEUM | University of Applied Sciences (http://www.fh-joanneum.at), Graz. In this Lab a team called SimTeam deals with realtime 3D training systems for professional training, with a strong focus on haptic interfaces.
Wolfgang Höhl teaches 3D visualization, games and animation at FH JOANNEUM | University of Applied Sciences, A-8020 Graz and at Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, Germany. He is a senior researcher in the field of 3D simulation and visualization for science and engineering.
About us
Based in Graz / Austria, edddison provides cutting-edge 3D Technologies for making 3D data interactive. Similar to the way in which CMS has revolutionized the creation of websites, the edddison will simplify the creation and usage of 3D applications.
